What My Shoot Will Include:
Shoot 1
October 31st 2015
In this shoot I will be travelling to Colchester Zoo to photograph
portraits of wild animals, unfortunately due to my age and lack of funding,
equipment and experience I have to shoot at a zoo however given the
opportunity this shoot would be done with actual wild animals. The themes
within this shoot are Wild Animals and Portraiture.
Shoot 2
November 10th 2015
In this shoot I will be photographing a domestic animal, I have
chosen a rabbit and will be spending my shoot focusing on how to capture the
rabbit. The themes of Domesticated animals and Portraiture will occur in this
shoot.
Shoot 3
November 19th 2015
Moving forward into the second part of my project which is about
portraiture and how beauty is a mask etc. I have chosen this time to use
sugar skull makeup in my shoot to show the severe lengths people will go to
in order to mask their identity. Therefore, the themes within this shoot are
Beauty and Portraiture.
Shoot 4
November 26th 2015
Into the fourth shoot of my choice, and I chose to do a continuation
of the third shoot in a way however this time I chose a studio setting
instead of location and the makeup has varied slightly. These shots look much
more professional and can be used to convey the message that the professional
beauty industry is corrupt. The themes found within this shoot would be
Beauty and Portraiture once again.
Shoot 5
December 3rd 2015
For my fifth shoot, my plan is to move away from makeup and into how
we use things to cover up our insecurities. I plan to use a number of props
such as a hat, scarf, glasses and a venetian mask to convey this message. The
themes within this shoot are Beauty, Portraiture and Fashion.
Shoot 6
December 7th 2015
Within this shoot I am very interested in the way we as people change ourselves and how we use products such as tattooing, piercing, hair dying etc to be able to individualise our looks so we do not look identical to the person next to us. For this shoot I am going to focus on editing the hair colour of multiple models.
Shoot 7
December 17th 2015
In this shoot I plan to do a shoot outside similar to a fashion shoot
similar to the fashion studio shoot, I am interested in showing the
difference between studio and location portraiture in this project which is
why some of my shoots seem to overlap. The themes here will be Fashion and
Portraiture.
Shoot 8
January 7th 2016
For this shoot I will move back into the studio and do a plain
fashion shoot where I focus on taking extreme close ups along with original
portraiture and shots which are like magazine photos taken by professionals
for the likes of Tatler and Vogue etc. The themes here will be fashion and
Portraiture.
Shoot 9
January 16th 2016
In this shoot I am going to paint my models face as a tiger and have
them pose in the outside in a way of conveying the message about how we use
animal culture for beauty. This will link me back to animals in time for my
next shoot at the zoo. The themes here will be beauty, animals and
portraiture.
Shoot 10
January 28th 2016
In this final shoot I am heading back to Colchester Zoo with a better
camera to see if I can improve on my shots from the first visit. Again to
convey similar messages of animals in captivity and the links between the
animal kingdom and the beauty industry and the links with portraiture. The
themes here will be Wild animals, beauty and portraiture.
