Evaluation:

This shoot was extremely interesting and I really enjoyed exploring the multiple ways you can combine images. My favourite edit from this shoot is the one where I took a photo of lauren and then the plain background and edited it so in effect it looks like the frame is a window through lauren to the background. I also enjoyed creating my video within a picture as I thought it was fascinating to have a moving image in the centre of a still background. Finally my third edit was an image within an image within an image which I loved, I think its so interesting to be able to watch the images repeat themselves until the are unable to be seen clearly, almost like a spiralling effect.

Progression

To progress with this shoot I would definitely choose to create more edits similar to these, also the nature aspect, I think nature in photography plays a massive part, but I like the message that comes behind the second photo, it almost conveys that nature prevails above all, I like the idea of editing and combining seasons, which is what I wrote about in my proposal for the upcoming unit. I have some ideas about having one season in the frame and another on the outside, the frame acting as a barrier between the seasons.

This photograph is very interesting due to the fact that the photographer has edited it to make it two tone, this image is essentially one photograph however the photographer has made it look like two images by changing the colour of the section within the frame. The frame acts as a barrier and separation between the coloured image and the monochrome image.

This image is extremely interesting as the photographer has had the model pose with a frame to create a spiralling illusion through the photograph, though these photos could all be mistaken to be the same photograph repeated thrice, they are actually three different photographs of the same model. The black and white tones on this photograph add depth to the photo.

This photograph is a cleverly done photo whereby the addition of a frame makes it seem as though the children are holding a photograph of a marriage when it is actually the subjects standing in the background and foreground aligned with the frame.

This photograph exhibits an image within an image by taking two photographs of exactly the same area then erasing a section of the photograph which creates a see through mirror effect or framing of a certain area.

This photograph is a very old way of a picture within a picture, this is done with no photo manipulation it is just done by taking a photograph of the woman's reflection from a certain angle, the photographer had to try hard to not get the camera in the reflection but also take this photograph from the front angle.

This picture within a picture is a backwards reflection, the images shown within the glasses are almost like they are showing the true function of actual glasses, magnifying the thing behind them. The powerful message that is communicated within this image is prevalent by the magnification.
