E V A L U A T I O N
In this shoot I transferred the skills from the last shoot and once again focused on the sugar skull/day of the dead makeup that I had focused on before. However, this time I took the idea to the studio to see the effects the shoot would have in a different location. This shoot worked very well and I liked the ways that the studio camera and the lighting managed to give the sugar skull makeup a new life and almost create a different meaning, the photos are more uplifting and seem like happy photos rather than sad. This time I did half the face in face paint rather than the whole face to show off a slightly lighter tone.

Given the chance to attempt this shoot again I would, however a second time round I would experiment with darker colours and different facepaint. I am interested in using red face paint and creating a much more dramatic look for my models whilst using dark backgrounds which would bring out the colours of the makeup much more and make them vibrant against the background. My next shoot is one where I focus on hair colours which is going to be the shoot which is going to help me transition from the beauty side of the project to the fashion side.
please explain in more detail on how the camera settings affected the shoot outcome, shutter speed, aperture etc. apply this to the other work diary posts.. using photographic terminologies such as depth of field..
